Today I'm going to share with you a recipe that we discovered for the incoming vegetables this harvest season, and we absolutely LOVE it--ranch dressing, anyone?? The ultimate vegetable dip!! I don't know why it took us so long to get around to coming up with an all-natural alternative for this one, but I'm ever-so-glad we did, as are the rest of the kiddos. Just like the peanut butter that no one would guess is homemade, this veggie dip tastes like the best possible ranch dressing you could buy. Give it a shot; you'll never think of looking back ;)!
The recipe:
1 cup sour cream (raw and fresh from the cow is the best ever!)
2 cups looooovely homemade mayonnaise!
2 tsp. salt
finely-chopped parsley, as desired
finely-chopped chives, as desired
1 or 2 cloves garlic
Paprika
Don't know why I appear so un-enthusiastic about this awesome little recipe.. maybe I'll get better at this whole vid thing!! :D (We'll also work on color adjustments in the next set of vids.. these all came out a bit washed-out.) Also, it appears as though the part where I taste it and tell everyone how good it is somehow got lost.. you'll just have to take my word for it; it's wooonderful!!
Be sure to check back soon, as Steve captured some AWESOME photos last night :o). Also, next week's recipe will be a real treat.. literally!! I'm excited to share one of our all-time favorite (and fairly-famous!) raw cookie bars.. after all, if we continue to make it some 10 years after Mom invented it, it MUST be good, right? ;o)!
Until then!!
Yeah, you are allowed to smile as you are filmed... :)
